History of music video’s
The purposes of music videos are to give audiences a hint on how artists are selling themselves by their use of costume, their lifestyle and background. The reason why music videos are now admired this is because the image of artists persuades audiences to buy their album. Music videos also show how characters are represented onscreen. Audiences see that artists have different status symbols in different types of music videos for e.g. guitars, and drummers are equivalent t the indie genre and spinning rims such as brand new cars are equivalent to the rap genre. The purposes of music videos also give audiences purpose of institute an order in things, including, and particularly, the organization between the main character and time.
2) When did they become popular?
Music video’s are short films, which helps create a set of where action is about to take place. The term "music video" first came into popular usage in the early 1980s. This is because music video’s used wide ranges of different styles of film making techniques such as concept by using several animations and creating narrative and performance video’s to get the idea of what background their from.
3) Who controlled the development of the music video in the past? Who now has control of the development of the music video?
Music video’s were published in between 1974-1980. In the early 1974 former radio DJ Graham Webb developed a weekly teen-orientated TV music show, which was screened in Australia, which have different programmers. Between 1981 and 1991 music videos begin to develop all around the world. In 1981 USA launched a music video channel MTV beginning an era of 24-hour-a-day music on television. Since MTV has launched it has played a central role in popular music marketing. The two main innovations in the development of the music videos were the development of relatively inexpensive and easy-to-use video recording and editing equipment, and the development of visual effects created with techniques such as images and the transitions. This has therefore helped the development of music videos.
4) How have new technologies impacted on relevance and importance of music videos?
New technologies has influenced and impacted the importance’s of music videos this is because in terms of the way people view videos use mobile phones and computers is the hardware where they can view their software’s soft technologies such as YouTube. Face book. This helps has impacted music videos this is because more people use the Internet to watch music videos such as you tube and Face book. You can also embed videos in order to publish on several of websites such as blog face book etc.

Chosen Track
Pros and Cons
The pros of our chosen track are that we are able to visualize and analyze the lyrics by putting them into context. The tempo of this track is more faster which helps us able to create tension at a particular seen. Whereas our second choice of indie genre was quite slow which is why I did not choose the track. Its difficult to build up tension if the whole track has a slow and calm tempo.
